Tên của(My Name, Poem)
My name is Giang Truong Vu Do,
Rain by the Long River is what it means
Quite a peculiar name to say the least, 
But every name has a meaning.


I hail from a land called Vietnam
A land of beauty and a cultural of its own,
A land of colorful food and colorful people,
But it wouldn’t be colorful for long.


My parents conceived me in the United States,
The land of the free and the brave,
Where cultures of the world blend together
Like the rain drops falling into the river.


However many think that river is bland, 
That it turns distinct rain drops into a monotonous entity,
I may not be as Vietnamese as my parents, 
But those values will flow forever with me.


Those values taught me to respect the community,
To be in harmony with those around me,
To contribute and cherish my community, 
One that would become a family to look after each other.
